Four masked men have broken into a house in Ballymena and attacked a man as he slept on the sofa.
The incident happened in the Lanntara area at around 11.25pm, when the burglars smashed a window before entering the house.
It was reported that the four men were carrying a hammer, bat and may have had a machete.
The injured man aged in his 20s sustained injuries to his face which did not require hospital treatment at the time.
