Mid & East Antrim's Black Bins facing cuts?

Mid and East Antrim Council is to controversially consider reducing black bin collections from every fortnight to once in three weeks!

It's because it has to meet a strict 50% recycling target by twenty-twenty.

Discussions took place at Council's recent Operational Committee meeting.

The frequency of black bin collections have already been reduced in parts of Britain.

Recycling has been boosted there by banning food waste from black bins and introducing kerbside sorting systems.
