An MLA is urging Mid and East Antrim Council to prioritise the restoration of Ballymena's People's Park.
Sunday's arson attack severely damaged its very popular climbing frame, which is now out-of-bounds.
Repairs could cost over £65 000 and take all summer long.
Paul Frew says he understands Council needs to structurally assess the damage and abide by procedures, including health and safety.
