Three people have escaped injury following an arson attack in Kells.
A wheelie bin was placed against the door of a flat on Main Street before being set alight yesterday afternoon.
The door was scorched during the incident which happened at around 12.30pm.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives are investigating a deliberate fire on Main Street in Kells.
"At around 12.20pm on Saturday 23 January it was reported that a bin had been set alight and then placed up against a flat causing scorch marks to the door.
"The three occupants of the flat were unharmed.
"Anyone who was in the Main Street area at around the time of the incident or anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact Larne CID by calling 101, quoting reference 682 23/01/21.
