A man in his 60's has been treated in hospital for a suspected hip fracture after being knocked down by a car in Derry - Londonderry.
The man had been walking on Spencer Road, close to Newlyn Terrace, when he was hit by the vehicle.
It happened between 1.45pm and 2.00pm on Friday 19th August.
Constable Mary Doherty said:
“We are appealing for witnesses to the collision to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation. In particular, we are appealing for information about the vehicle in question that is described as being a large black coloured vehicle.
“Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact officers at Strand Road Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 756 of 19/08/16.”
