A security alert in Holywood, Co.Down has now ended.
Police say an object was examined and it was nothing untoward.
The Old Holywood Road close to the Palace Barracks was closed to traffic this morning.
It has now reopened.
A number of army units are based at the barracks and it also hosts MI5’s headquarters in Northern Ireland.
