Detectives in Newry are appealing for witnesses after a van was seen acting suspiciously in the city yesterday afternoon.
Detective Inspector Handley said:
“A report was made to police just before 3.30pm yesterday afternoon (Saturday) by a woman who saw a white Mercedes ‘Vito’ transit van in The Demesne area.
“We are making a number of enquiries about this vehicle and its movements – and are keen to hear from anyone who saw the van in the Newry area any time yesterday afternoon or evening.
The vehicle is an older model and it is quite distinctive as it also has a silver roof rack.
“If you have information or dashcam footage that could help our investigation, please get in touch with police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1142 of 14/8/21. You can also submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ .”
