The regeneration of Portrush is gathering pace, with the latest £6 million phase starting this autumn.
A modern promenade linking the East Strand with Ramore Head has just been approved by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council's Planning Committee.
A town centre upgrade will also see wider footpaths and new pedestrian crossings.
Also proposed is a £2.3 million scheme to refurbish Portrush Harbour's north pier.
