Newry locals are being advised to be vigilant after reports of unusual activity in the area.
Police say a white pick-up style vehicle with several people on board has been acting suspiciously.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who notices the pick-up in the area.
They're asking that a note be made of the registration number and descriptions of people onboard.
