A poem which Roald Dahl wrote for the pupils of Primate Dixon in Coalisland has been framed to mark what would have been the author’s 100th birthday.
It’s a literary gem and it was uncovered during a clear out in 2012.
The correspondence dated 1988, was in response to a letter written by P5 pupils. They’d just finished Danny, The Champion Of The World.
The letter was addressed to teacher James Maye and his class as principal Sean Dillon explains:

The poem went on to be published in 1997 anthology. Now, it’s been resurrected and it’s on display in the school foyer.
