A man has been arrested by police investigating the alleged ill-treatment of patients at Muckamore Abbey Hospital.
The suspect aged 26 was detained on Tuesday morning in Antrim.
Muckamore treats people with severe learning disabilities and mental health needs.
Police are probing claims of physical and mental abuse of patients in the psychiatric intensive care unit in 2017-18.
A PSNI statement said: "Detectives from the PSNI's public protection branch investigating the allegations of ill-treatment of patients at Muckamore Abbey hospital have arrested a 26-year-old male this morning, Tuesday February 25 in the Antrim area."
