Sky News says suggestions its Senior Ireland Correspondent advised the DUP are "completely and utterly untrue".
Former Minister, Jonathan Bell has told the RHI Inquiry a journalist said the Democratic Unionists should attack his Christian faith.
He was reportedly referring to Sky's David Blevins.
Mr Bell said "I fear I have been the victim of a massive smear campaign,".
He made the claims while giving evidence to a public inquiry in Belfast into how costs for a green energy scheme spiralled.
Mr Bell was minister at the Enterprise Department which oversaw the publicly funded Renewable Heat Incentive scheme.
