A security alert in County Down has been declared an "elaborate hoax".
Lisburn Street in Ballynahinch was closed for a number of hours last night following the discovery of a suspicious object.
The road has since been re-opened.
Local MLA Kellie Armstrong said:
"The suspect device in Ballynahinch has been found to be a hoax & the Lisburn Street area is now reopened.
Thanks to the emergency services & the Ammunition Technical Officers who dealt with this situation.
If anyone has any information please call 101"
Lisburn Street in Ballynahinch has now been re-opened following the discovery of a suspicious object earlier this evening. The object was examined and has been declared an elaborate hoax.
