A teenage girl has died following a farm accident in Newry, Co. Down.
It happened in the rural Bernish area on Saturday afternoon.
The teen has been named locally as 14-year-old Abbie Nummy, who was a pupil at Newry High School.
A spokesman for the NI Ambulance Service (NIAS) said it received an emergency call at just after 2pm on Saturday.
Two emergency crews were sent to the farm along with the Air Ambulance.
Local Councillor Gavin Malone knows Abbie's family well and says they are "devastated".
He described the teenager as a "beautiful girl, very bubbly and very popular".
Councillor Malone says the whole community is shocked and saddened by the news but trusts it will rally around the Nummy family at this time.
The PSNI has confirmed the death and says it is preparing a report for the coroner.
Meanwhile, the Health and Safety Executive is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
A PSNI statement said, "Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following a sudden death in a tragic accident at a farm in Newry on Saturday. "
"The Health and Safety Executive is investigating the circumstances."
