The Ardoyne teenager badly injured in an horrific holiday accident has been flown back to Belfast.
Jay Hamill suffered multiple fractures and was left in a neck brace after being struck by a car in Spain almost two weeks ago.
His family launched an urgent appeal for an air ambulance to bring him home and a generous local businessman this week stepped in to foot the bill of almost £20,000.
The 16-year-old wasn't due back until Thursday, but an earlier flight became available on Wednesday and within hours he was transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Jay has been speaking exclusively to Q Radio along with his mum Elaine and brother, Ryan.
Elaine has thanked the anonymous benefactor, saying at one point she thought her son would never get home.
She's slamming the insurance company for leaving him stranded in Salou.
The firm rejected the family's claim, saying Jay had been drinking an alcopop when the incident happened...
