Police have arrested three men aged 36, 35 and 32 following a number of overnight commercial burglaries in Belfast City Centre in which quantities of alcohol and soft drinks were stolen, but later recovered.
The three men are currently in custody at Musgrave Police station helping with ongoing enquiries.
Sergeant Stuart Jackson said, “Police officers regularly patrol the across the city and continue to work with a range of partners to provide businesses with crime prevention advice. I would appeal to anyone who was in Belfast City Centre between midnight and 3am this morning, who may have noticed anyone acting suspiciously to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 211 of 11 November 2020.
“A report can also be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. Alternatively, information can be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
“I would also remind business operators to ensure they have taken every possible step to protect their business and to contact their local police crime prevention officer on 101 if they need any advice.”
