Two men aged 27 and 31 have been charged with kidnapping and false imprisonment.
It's after a 21 year old man was forced to drive to a number of locations in North Belfast yesterday, before being assaulted.
The suspects are also charged with common assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
The PSNI said:
"Detectives have charged two males, aged 27 and 31, with a number of offences, including kidnapping, false imprisonment, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. They are expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday 28 October."
"As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
