The contentious Universal Credit is being rolled out in Ballymoney from today.
The new benefits system substitutes six existing welfare payments with one, affecting working age adults receiving them.
They include Child Tax Credit, Housing Benefit, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Income-Related Employment Support Allowance, and Working Tax Credit.
It's attracted criticism because it can take up to six weeks to receive a payment, but the Department for Communities says no-one will be affected until 2019 unless their circumstances change.
Causeway Citizens Advice has increased its opening hours to handle queries about the scheme.
