Two people have been arrested after a viable 'blast bomb type device' was found during a security alert in Tandragee.
Residents in the Woodview Park area were forced to evacuate their homes this morning when the suspicious object was discovered.
Police say the device has since been made safe and has been taken away for further examination.
Evacuated residents have been allowed to return to their homes but police remain at the scene.
The two suspects , a 20 year old woman and a 21 year old man, remain in police custody.
A PSNI statement said:
"Police remain at the scene of a security alert in Woodview Park, Tandragee however evacuated residents have been allowed to return home. A viable blast bomb type device found by officers carrying out a search at the property was subsequently made safe by ATO. "
"It has been recovered for examination."
"Two people, a 20 year old woman and 21 year old man have been arrested and remain in custody at present."
