A woman has escaped injury following an arson attack at a house in Newtownabbey.
The back door and bin at the property in the Loughmoney Park area were set alight at around 4am this morning.
Northern Ireland and Fire and Rescue Services attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.
They also helped to safely evacuate the woman who was inside the house.
Detective Sergeant Toni Lenaghan said, "Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident, to contact detectives on 101 and quote reference number 276 of 15/5/21.
