A brave dog may have prevented a sexual attack in Randalstown being more serious.
Around half eight on Tuesday morning a woman was walking her dog on the Craigstown Road when a man grabbed her from behind and assaulted her.
The dog may have bitten the culprit who then fled the scene.
Inspector Bradley appeals to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Antrim PSNI on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number "1516 01/11/16".
