A woman in her thirties has been assaulted and man in his twenties has been threatened with a machete during an aggravated burglary in north Belfast.
It's after five masked men armed with baseball bats forced entry to a property in the Conway Court area at around 9.30pm last night.
Police say the woman was struck across the chest during the incident.
Both victims were left badly shaken as a result.
The property was also ransacked, with a number of windows and two television sets damaged during the incident.
A PSNI spokesperson said, “Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1918 19/11/20."
