Ballymena-based Wrightbus is understood to be poised to purchase the JTI factory site at Lisnafillan.
The multi-million deal has been the subject of protracted negotiations for months.
But Q Radio understands the talks are close to reaching a successful conclusion.
Wrightbus' main headquarters at Galgorm are close to the JTI site, which will be finally vacated next year.
