There was some late activity here on transfer deadline day.

Centre-back Albert Watson rejoined his old team Ballymena.

The former club captain left the Showgrounds in 2011 to sign for Linfield, then under current Sky Blues boss David Jeffrey.

33-year-old Watson has since played in Canada and Iceland.

Northern Ireland youth international defender Dylan King has moved from Glenavon to Coleraine - Rodney McAree's seventh signing in the January window.

Lurgan Blues midfielder Niall Grace has gone on loan to Cliftonville.

Meanwhile, Institute manager Paddy McLaughlin is being linked with the managerial vacancy at Solitude.

There was due to be a crunch match in the bottom half of the Danske Bank Premiership on Friday night with Newry City hosting Glentoran.

However, it was called off after a pitch inspection and rescheduled for Tuesday, February 5th, 7.45pm.
