Glentoran beat Newry City 2-0 in last night's Danske Bank Premiership match at the Showgrounds.

Curtis Allen scored both goals in the first half.

The victory moves Mick McDermott's men four points clear in the race for the final European play-off place.

After three weeks in charge, the new boss has told Q Radio it's so far, so good....

 

 

The Glens host Warrenpoint on Easter Tuesday.

Also last night, Derry City lost 1-0 at home to League of Ireland leaders Shamrock Rovers.

The Candystripes slip from second to fourth in the table.

The five fixtures this afternoon include derbies at Cliftonville and Ballymena while newly-crowned champions Linfield will be presented with the Gibson Cup.
