Big Two go one-two in Premiership and Ulster secure second victory in Europe

Chris Shields - winner at Inver

Glentoran and Linfield both won on Friday night to go first and second in the Danske Bank Premiership.

The Blues beat 10-man Larne 1-0 at Inver Park.

Chris Shields scored their 30th-minute penalty after Kofi Balmer fouled Christy Manzinga and was sent-off.

The Glens had a 2-0 victory over Glenavon. 

Conor McMenamin and Rory Donnelly were on target at the BetMcLean Oval.

The Big Two are level on 39 points, one ahead of Cliftonville - with Linfield top on goal difference.

The Reds host Carrick Rangers on Saturday.

Coleraine have Crusaders, Dungannon play Ballymena and Warrenpoint welcome Portadown.
