Dykes quits as Mallards manager as team battles to avoid relegation from Premiership

Gavin Dykes has resigned as the manager of Danske Bank Premiership team Ballinamallard.

The Mallards have only won twice in the league all season and currently sit seven points adrift at the bottom of the table with eight matches left to play.

The Fermanagh club says it has "reluctantly" accepted the resignation and would like to thank Dykes for his commitment, loyalty and passion over the past two seasons.

His last game in charge was Saturday's 4-0 defeat at home to Ards.
