Coleraine extended their lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership on Saturday with a 2-0 win away to Ballymena.

The Bannsiders are now four points clear of Linfield who lost 3-2 against Cliftonville in a dramatic derby at Solitude.

The Reds were 2-0 down but staged a sensational late comeback, kick-started 10 minutes from time by a goal from captain and man of the match Chris Curran...

Sub Jay Donnelly levelled it with the winner scored in stoppage time by centre-back Garry Breen...

Aaron Burns hit both goals for the Blues but he had no complaints about the final result...

The victory moves Barry Gray's men back into the top six.

Also on Saturday, Ards had a 2-0 win at Ballinamallard and the game between Warrenpoint and Carrick finished 2-2.

Meanwhile, a stunning strike from Paul McElroy gave Dungannon Swifts a share of the spoils against Glenavon in the Friday night match.

The former Linfield player blasted home from outside the area in the closing minutes at Mourneview Park to leave the final score at 1-1.

Manager Rodney McAree says McElroy's shaping up well as a replacement for last season's top scorer Andrew Mitchell, who's now with Glenavon...

A victory would have meant Glenavon topping the table overnight at least and Lurgan Blues boss Gary Hamilton was bitterly disappointed to miss out...

The Premiership action resumes on Monday night with Glentoran facing Crusaders in the first match of the season to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Kick-off at the Oval is 7.45pm.
