Linfield Ladies aiming to return to summit in Women's Premiership

Linfield Ladies can go back to the top of the Danske Bank Women's Premiership tonight with a win away to Crusaders Strikers.

The Blues are sitting one point behind Newry City Ladies going into the Seaview showdown, part two of this week's double-header between the Belfast rivals. 

They beat the Crues 3-1 after extra-time in the County Antrim Cup quarter-finals on Monday. 

Star striker Kirsty McGuinness was again on target for the cup holders, heading the equaliser within five minutes of coming on as a second-half substitute. 

In the only other league game this evening, Glentoran Belfast United host Sion Swifts.

The third against fourth clash has been moved to the Hammer Centre on the Shankill Road. 

 

Both tonight's matches kick-off at 7.30pm.
