A cat has suffered a seven inch wound after being slashed with what’s thought to have been a knife.
The incident happened in Castledawson.
The pet owner Shauna Tungate is warning people in the area to be wary when letting their animals out.
Her cat returned home with the wound to her side after going missing for three days.
She’s shared her story on social media in a bid to warn others.
