A man has been charged by police after republican graffiti was sprayed on a building close to a memorial for Enniskillen bomb victims.
The letters IRA were painted on a wall of the Clinton Centre, which was built on the site of a 1987 republican bomb attack in the Co Fermanagh town.
A PSNI spokesperson said a 52-year-old man had been charged with a number of counts including causing criminal damage, displaying written material to stir up hatred or arouse fear, and possession of class B drugs.
He is expected to appear at Enniskillen Magistrates on December 18.
The spokesperson said: “The charges follow incidents of graffiti in the Enniskillen area in the past week.
“As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.”
Eleven people who had gathered for a remembrance event were killed in the IRA blast in 1987 and dozens were injured.
A 12th victim died 13 years later, having never woken from a coma.
Police had previously said they were treating the graffiti incident as a hate crime.
