A man was knocked unconscious after being assaulted near a nightclub in James Street in Cookstown.
The incident happened around 2am last Sunday morning.
The man sustained serious injuries to his head.
Several people assisted with First Aid, and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward with any information.
They are particularly interested in speaking with a man who flagged down the PSNI car and pointed out a potential assailant.
