It happened in the Skegoneill Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of this morning
A man has reportedly been left very badly shaken after being held at knifepoint in an attempted robbery in Belfast.
It happened in the Skegoneill Avenue of the city, shortly before 12:30am this morning.
The man was getting out of his car when approached by a male who tried to steal his bag, before producing a knife.
The male made off with another in the direction of the Shore Road in a small white car.
The man didn't sustain any injuries.
Detectives are appealing for information.
