Linfield have cut Crusaders' lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership to four points.

The Blues beat Ards 5-1 at Windsor Park on Saturday with Andy Waterworth scoring his 100th goal for the club.

The Crues play Ballinamallard on Monday night.

Also on Saturday, Cliftonville were held to a 2-2 draw away to Dungannon.

That allowed Coleraine to move into third place with a 2-1 victory at Glenavon.

Jamie McGonigle hit both goals, the second set up by Eoin Bradley.

The former Lurgan Blues striker says the victory is a boost ahead of the Irish Cup semi-final against his old club on April 1st.

Ex-Bannsider Aaron Canning, who joined Glenavon in January, felt they were unlucky to miss out on a point.

Oran Kearney's men are in action again in the Premiership on Tuesday night, a re-arranged derby clash away to Ballymena.

The Sky Blues will go into the game on the back of a 4-2 defeat against Glentoran at the Showgrounds on Saturday.

Glens' top scorer Curtis Allen hit a hat-trick while Ballymena's top striker Cathair Friel was sent off in the first half.

In the other game, Carrick had a 3-2 home win in their basement battle with Portadown.

The Ports are now 14 points adrift with just six Premiership fixtures remaining.
