They 32 and 34 year-olds have been released on bail pending further enquiries
The two suspects had been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
Police received a report that a group of men were assaulted in Dhu Varren in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The windows of a car and a house in the area were also broken.
A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital for a suspected broken foot and bruising.
A 69-year-old man also had to be taken to hospital for cuts to his head.
