Police are at the scene of a security alert after a suspicious object was discovered on the A31 Magherafelt Bypass.
It was found between the Castledawson roundabout and the Aughrim Road, at around 10.45am this morning.
No homes have been evacuated, however the bypass has been closed at the roundabout and at the junction with Aughrim Road.
Diversions have been put in place.
There are no further details at this time.
