An 18 year old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Kilcoo, County Down.
It happened on the Hilltown Road in the early hours of this morning.
Four other young people who were also in the car were taken to hospital.
One of them is in a critical condition.
The road remains closed while investigations continue into the circumstances of the collision.
The Hilltown Road, Kilcoo is closed in both directions following a serious one vehicle road traffic collision this morning (Saturday 26th October). Diversions are in place at the junctions with Castlewellan Road & Kinghill Road. Motorists should avoid the area.

A PSNI statement said:
"Police can confirm that one person has died following a single vehicle road traffic collision on the Hilltown Road in Kilcoo during the early hours of the morning, Saturday 26 October."
"The 18 year old male was travelling in a blue coloured Volkswagen Bora that was involved in the collision shortly before 2.30am. Four other young people, 2 males and 2 females, who were also in the car were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries. One of the males is described as being in a critical condition."
"Inspector Beckett is appealing to anyone who was traveling on the Hilltown Road early this morning and who may have seen this blue Volkswagen prior to the collision or anyone who has dash-cam footage which could assist with the investigation to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 167 26/10/19."
