Police have charged a 20-year-old man with manslaughter, attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is expected to appear before Dungannon Magistrates’ Court today.
53-year-old Paul Brown died after two men were allegedly attacked by the accused with a machete outside a house in Slievecoole park on Sunday evening
“The other man was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries to his hand.
It’s understood that police do not believe Mr Brown died as a result of the machete attack.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area around midnight who may have witnessed the assault to get in touch
“If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please call detectives on 101 and quote reference number 1874 of 16/10/22.”
