A 28-year-old man will appear before Londonderry Magistrate's Court this morning, charged with assault occassioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
It's in connection with an incident at the Strabane Old Road in Derry/Londonderry on Thursday 25th April.
As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A 22-year-old woman was also arrested by detectives investigating the incident and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
