A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder police in Derry Londonderry.
He was picked up around Creggan this morning over an incident in Ballyarnett Village in October 2014.
The 22-year-old is being questioned at Musgrave Police Station.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Detectives from PSNI's Serious Crime Branch investigating violent dissident republican activity in Derry/Londonderry arrested a 22-year-old man in the Creggan area of the city this morning (Thursday, 14th September).
"The arrest is in connection with the attempted murder of police in Ballyarnett Village in October 2014.
"The man was taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave police station where he is assisting police with their enquiries."
