This buy-up will add 42 staff to the company's books.
The purchase is part of the firm's partnership with HR and finance software package Workday - which is used by companies internationally.
It is the second acquisition in the Americas and expands the Belfast firm's global presence.
Brendan Mooney, the CEO of Kainos, said: "We are delighted to welcome the UNE Consulting team to Kainos as we continue to grow our global Workday practice - UNE’s values of innovation, trust and commitment deeply align with our own. We look forward to working closely with our new colleagues, who have a wealth of experience serving customers across the Americas.”
Jimena Huarte, the Director of UNE Consulting added: “I am incredibly proud of all we have achieved to date and excited for the next stage in our journey. Joining Kainos formalises a collaborative working relationship that has been in place for some time and is a powerful combination for our customers.
