Boy racers were targeted in a police operation on the Fairhill in Cookstown.
Many of the cars stopped by police officers were found to have defects.
Several drivers were sent to the MOT centre where their vehicles were inspected by mechanics.
Fines and prohibition notices were handed out.
Loud exhausts, lowered vehicles and excessive tints on cars topped the list of defects.
Police say if cars are not roadworthy, they will be seized.
They’d earlier issued a warning to young drivers, pointing out that weekends tend to see an increase in antisocial behaviour.
They say this includes poor driving, damaging property and being excessively noisy.
