A broken footbridge in Kesh will finally be repaired after becoming damaged in Decemeber 2015.
Back at the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council meeting in April, it was decided that Councillors would meet with the appropriate bodies, in order to decide how to move forward with the bridge.
Since then, Councillor Robert Irvine organised a meeting which consisted of the Rivers Agency, Department of Infrastucture, Kesh Enterprise, local Councillors, MLA's and the Road Service.
After discussions, it was decided that an initial report would be carried out by engineers, who will decide whether or not the bridge is safe to use.
They also discussed the issue of a nearby car park which had become damaged and remained "unattractive to visitors".
Councillor Robert Irvine:
It's hoped that after the bridge is inspected again, it will be reopened once its found safe, possibly even for summer time.
