Cat caught in trap in Newtownabbey

A cat has suffered serious abdominal injuries after being caught in a trap in Newtownabbey.

Police are investigating the incident in the Colinbridge park area yesterday.

It's being treated as animal cruelty.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said “Anyone with information about this incident can contact us on the 101 number.

"Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
