Councillors here are united with Daisy Hill hospital and its staff amid its current crisis.
An emergency motion against short-term closure of the hospital's A&E was put forward at last night's meeting.
The Southern Trust suggested the move in response to staff shortages in the department, now run by locum doctors.
Councillor Mickey Ruane says they motion is a public portrayal of a united council.
