Sinn Féin MLA Declan McAleer has encouraged sports clubs to engage with their local councils to ensure that any sports facility needs are included in each Council Area Plan.

Sinn Fein assemblyman Declan McAleer says it's important that clubs ensure their requirements are included in each Council Area Plan.
If they're to avail of initiatives such as the Assembly's Sub Regional Stadia Programme for Soccer.
Or indeed Sport NI's on-going work with local government to develop sporting facilities.
"I made representations to the Communities Minister regarding capital funding opportunities that are currently available for sports clubs," the West Tyrone MLA said.
"While there are currently no capital funding programmes available from the Department or Sport NI the Minister has stated he is currently finalising the consideration and analysis of responses on Sub Regional Stadia Programme for Soccer," he continued.
"Sports NI is also currently working with local councils to develop a Sports Facility Framework and associated Council Area Plans," he added.
