Q Radio attended the official launch for Fermanagh and Omagh district council's St. Patrick's day festival 2017.

This year has a theme of 'Get green for 17' to raise awareness of recycling, the environment and sustainability.

The day will consist of a parade involving local community groups, sports teams, schools and bands.

Entertainment will be available throughout the day and will be compered by Pio McCann. It will include multi-cultural music and dance featuring Dún Uladh Cultural Heritage Centre - followed by a range of different musical acts and dancers.

There will be events running inside the Strule Arts Centre on the day alongside the parade and entertainment that will be going on in the main town.

Q Radio will also be there with the Mega Blaster bus, joined by Stevie King. He'll be out and about talking to spectators live on air, giving out prizes and getting everyone involved in a St.Patrick's day treasure Hunt.

Spokesperson Terena Conlan promises a day filled with fun and plenty do:

ISL and BSL sign language interpreters will be in attendance on the day. A quiet space will also be available at Strule Arts Centre throughout the day for those who may need some time away from the crowds and noise.
