Police are appealing for information following the report of a theft in the Laraghs Croft area of Ballinamallard in Fermanagh.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said:
"It was reported on Saturday, 10 February that sometime overnight heating oil had been stolen from an oil tank in the back garden of a house."
They're now appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious person or vehicles in the vicinity to contact police at Enniskillen on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 672 10/02/18.
Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
The spokesperson also said:
"Police encourage everyone to fit exterior lights to their property as they are useful in discouraging the attention of criminals, particularly those involved in burglary and the theft of heating oil as it raises the potential of them being seen in the vicinity of your home by either yourself or a neighbour."
