Police are appealing for information in Armagh after a man was found injured at the side of the road.
The man, who's believed to be in his 40s was discovered with significant injuries in the Cortynan road area of Tynan.
A passer-by made a report to the NI Ambulance Service at around 9.30am today.
Due to the significant bruising the man sustained, police believe he was beaten with something like an iron bar and he also had a number of items of clothing removed.
He was taken to hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
Inspector Kerr said, “We are trying to establish a timeline as to ascertain exactly what happened and I am appealing to anyone who may have any information that could assist us with our enquires to contact us on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 797 of 18/7/21.”
