The man who died in a quad bike crash in Co Antrim on Sunday afternoon has been named locally as Ciaran Devlin.
It happened just before 4pm on the Ballyvennaght Road.
Mr Devlin, who was in his 40s and lived in the town, was transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital where he was treated for head injuries.
However he passed away yesterday afternoon.
Local councillor Cara McShane paid this tribute.
"Ciaran was renowned throughout north Antrim and extremely popular among the farming community," she said.
"Many people have described him to be as one of the greatest stockmen, a great worker from a well respected family.
"This tragedy is made even more profound just given days before Christmas.
"The thoughts and prayers of all the people in this community are with the Devlin family at this time."
